What? I don't know what those other things are, neither are they important in the discussion. I hope you understand what I was saying and it has nothing to do with how much I go out. This is an English-Centric board, I am American. I tried to let you know that I was offended. There is a pretty fair bit of Vietnamese product bashing on scooter forums in general, I'll not bring the merits of SE Asian scooters into this discussion, though I hope that poorly built scooters don't somehow devalue a whole race of people in anyone's view. It's too bad that it seems like you chose to defend yourself instead of trying to understand that words used in ignorance actually define the user more than the subject.
I believe the topic was gloveboxes so I apologize for taking the thread off on a sidetrack. We all like scooters so why not keep the focus on what we like and leave slurs out of the conversation.

Maybe you should get out a bit more. Racist terms are generally pretty local. For example, if you use the word chinky in the UK, nobody would bat an eyelid, as it's a common term for a chinese takeaway. Round these parts it is seen as a racist term.
My manager is half polynesian, and her nickname is sooty. I'm sure you would find that racist.

I'm quite a fan of SPAMs too. Only 'mercins seem to object to that.

I'm the last person in the world to come over all PC but "Gook" is just plain insulting and if you think no-one takes offence at the word "Chinky" then it's you that should get out more. I take your point about nicknames though (assuming that the person in question is completely happy about it).

Anyway... back to the toolboxes....
Meus Lambretta est non infractus. Is est quietus.

Does anyone remake the ones that AF used to sell in the 80s? I've seen someone selling them in carbon, but a hundred quid is a bit pricey, considering they don't come complete.

No! But sometimes I wish I was. He's got all the geeked out TNG riding masses to back him up. Me, I've only got myself and a bunch of traditional, old school scooterboy clubmates. Jess does live somewhere around here but I've never seen him out probably because he knows nothing about our scene and culture. I hear that his thing is swinging with large women. My woman is fit. He is 5' 6", I'm 5' 16".
I have a rally glovebox but it's just laying about in the garage. Stupid lazy glovebox.

It must have been the original typo thats caused offence? Its going to have be, one hell of a toolbox to fit even 1 American in let alone a family of the super-sized ones I have seen. Apologies thats maybe racist, sizest... but then again I'm a fat northern pie eater on a tuning diet for the season. Loose a stone gain 3mph.
The world is a melting pot, we can offend some by just been here, tolerance is the name of the game.
Never been able to stretch to Vespas though but thats my personal opinion
