I can't imagine AF's dealing with BGM- Tawainese gear. They are likely to be of Indian origin especially if the price is compedative.Hats off again to AF's

OK SpecialX I'll Take that offer - £20 to charity either way ok?
However I'd suggest that these aren't going to be the BGM ones because they are being made in Stainless Steel and these look a lot more like castings (and therefore the proposed SIP ones).
By the way, while you are busy being wrong you haven't answered why Italian company Campagnolo elected to make the Innocenti disc brakes in France? Care to enlighten?
Stainless? the BGM ones are the Lambretta version of these

Arent these similar?

Here's the SIP (AF????) Lambretta version

I'd be happy to give £20 to H4H either way. However, if you look at the picture and compare it to the BGM rims its indistinguishable right down to the feckin wheel nuts and washers supplied. The pic certainly looks like an alloy wheel rather than stainless. Rich T had noticed how thick they are as he mentioned that they were the way to go so long as the counterbores were not too deep. I've held the BGM (vespa) ones in my hand when helping Corrado at Peanut Duck and they seem to be identical in design (except for being shaped for a lambretta) They are really light and the comment I've quoted fro Jon Ashford seems to point to alloy.
John ashford wrote on the other thread "Had a hold of one this very morning at AFS i have to say they are very light" Maybe he can shed light on whether they are stainless or alloy.
Time to put old arguments aside I feel it's Christmas for goodness sake.
Just looked on the official Campag site and I am
WRONG in saying that thaey are french so on that basis will donate £25 to H4H.
I APOLOGIZE FOR THE CRAP INFO!!!

All the ones you show are SIP, these are BGM, and are stainless steel, but not available yet.

The AF ones are identical to the SIP rims apart from the name stamp, how this has happened I don't know, but I'd bet it's pissed someone off

I also expect gadgetman to tell me it's nonsense

BGM are promising the alloy Lammie ones though . . . . . but god knows when. and the scooter centre link shows BGM . . although I agree they are the same item.

So BGM are working on SS and ally ones, and you've seen them and they look like the SIP/AF ones?

It says on the fastscooter forum that they are made by the same manufacturer as the sip rims, so it's not surprising that they look the same. I guess there are not too many different ways to make a wheel for a lamnbretta so they all are going to be similar. The more choice, in stock etc. the better. I'm sure there will be feedback as to which people prefer pretty soon.

I've seen the Vespa items and they were exactly the same as the ones in the pics, beautiful piece of work and had they been for lammys we could have sold them all day long. They are remarkably light and each one individually X rayed to ensure safety. Worth every penny for safety and peace of mind.
They'd look good on your scoot when they're available.
Looks like the BGM have been withdrawn with no explanation . . . . ?

Oh, they'll be going on when I get them, I've had them on back order for a year with SIP (I expe t their speedo to be the same

), so I guess it's the first one to stock them that'll get my business, AF or SIP. Saw the Vespa ones at IW, very nice indeed.

Sigh...
Need to clear the air a bit in here...
There are no BGM tubeless rims currently, you've never held one in your hand, and they are not alloy. An item listed on scooter center does not automatically make it a BGM product. In fact, the page referenced states the item is made by FA Italia. There are similar rims (maybe even exact) all marked either FA Italia, SIP, and now AFR (though to be fair it does appear that the valve placement on the AF marked rim is different). Given that they all look so similar I'd say they all come from the same place. This place may or may not be FA Italia.
Read the thread on The MB facebook page (I've reposted it on our site's blog) - that's really all there is to know and you will learn that these are not BGM rims nor are the BGM rims in development the same.
