goldeneyes somewhere near right

my first p range (125) a 1982 mk1.5 (oil injector, reserve tap, mark 1 headset, under seat locks etc - you know the type Geoff!) came with them as did a p2 which i have worked on.(both were sold brand new by AF to people in hartlepool back in the day) - both engines were split for the first time by me so they were definately factory done

they are are M7 studs with a tab washer wrapped round them

i`ve now got some early p2 casings in my bike (pre82) and they didnt have them (but do know by choice)

tried making sum but they just bent so could anyone recommend the right material for the job plus thickness an width if its not to much trouble thanks

I made some of these before using an old lambretta gear rod arm ....and after a bit of fileing they were good for purpose...

yeah i was just looking at a lammy gear linkage rod there will give that a try thanks

same as anything P-range gaz, their are a lot of unexplained little differances , sometimes mid production run of a model. ive seen non autolube T5"s, electric start T5, my early disc p200 has a different headset top and master cylinder to ones you usually see, the "mk1 and a half " is a typical example. they probly just used what was in the parts bin at the time. some T5 milleniums had cosa clutches, and some the older 3 plate job for example.

The original ones were always a little bent when removed also.

well you lern somthing new everyday only ever seen ones that have been modified could it have something to do with autolube as the drive cog would hit the circlip?

These are the ones I made, got the casings second hand and the previous owner had beaten the old bearing out the wrong way, demolishing the part of the casing that retains the circlip. A bit scruffy around the edges I know but it worked and still going strong. No fouling on clutch either.
