Noooooo, its so ugly....Im waiting for the SIP. Do you reckon it will have the magnetic pic up instead of using the speedo cale? bit like puting leaf springs on a modern car...ooops just remebered Ford still do it...

Its not as bad as you think regards the cable. It works just like the sensor would on a trailtech.
You input the speedo drive ratio and the circumference of the wheel and it then knows how far the wheel has traveled for each revolution of the cable.
Personally I think the anologue tacho is a clever part of the design which keeps an original look even when the scoot is stationary.

analog tacho is a good thing as i like the needle sweep as you rev it

...would just mean i would have to find something to put in the pod thing on my toolbox were the tacho is

My understanding after looking at the faces they have shown and after looking at the Vespa ones that they make are:
The sweeping hand is for the speed which can be set for mph or Km (hold a button down for 3 secs?)
The digital readout below is for revs
Runs of a pick up on the hub/rim not traditional cable
Has temp gauge, though noit sure if this is for pipe or plug
Has low fuel warning light (doesnt seem to have room for 1/4, !/2 and full on face?)
Or am i missing somthing...

I soooo want one of these and for it to work. ..

if you click the image in the first post to enlarge ...you can just make out ....rpm in the right bottom corner of what would be standard speedo

Speed is shown digitally. The tacho display is anologue and is deliberately designed to mimick a speedo needle. Revs can also be displayed digitally simultaneously.
The temp readout comes with a CHT gauge as standard but a water temp sensor is available as an extra.
I don't think it has a low fuel light.

From what I've read...
Sweeping hand is RPM
Digital display shows MPH, total miles, trip miles, clock, time travelled and temp, these are shown when pressing a switch to change display.
Speedo runs off cable, I would assume RPM comes from a lead around the HT lead.
Comes with a plug temp lead to give cylinder head temp.
Don't think it has a fuel light.
EDIT: ^What he said
