Same with mine will go of the clock, but it feels, and is, slow as f$£%.

1960 Split,
According to the instruction booklet that I received when I bought my 125dl brand new in February 1971, and which I've still got, the Maximum Speed is stated as 56.7 mph on page 9 of the Instruction Booklet..
All I know is that before I fitted a somewhat larger engine, I saw 65mph indicated, slightly down hill two up, so I reckon their figure in the bookj is probably somewhere near.

I had mine on MCN route tracker at 59.7mph.. .. i think I prefer looking at the speedo.. 45-70-30-50 etc

Wish GPS had been around in 1973 when I did 59 mph going down Frederick road (downhill head tucked below the leggies) on my Honda C50, it felt like 140 but was probably closer to 40. :P
