Thanks for kind comments one and all, here's a bit of spec and a couple more pics as requested by damdam.
Series 1: Basically a rebuilt SIL 200 using good quality bearings etc, Mec crank with a PHBH28 DellOrto and an AF clubman. I originally rebuilt the standard framebreather motor but it was painfully slow, motor was then uprated to a 175 but still too slow hence the 200 so I can use it a bit more. Panel work all original. I dabble in old badges a bit hence the badge bar. The rear carrier is original as is the Lycett tartan wear. Wish I could find a Lycett spare wheel cover.

Cutting Edge: Rebuilt SIL 200 with AF race crank (the one with the larger big end bearing), Rapido 225 (done over 19000 miles on this kit), Racetour piston (fitted last Winter), PHBH30 DellOrto and JL3 exhaust, BGM stator.
Various goodies eg: BGM front and rear shocks, Westach EGT and Rev counter fitted in a modified LD butty box, outboard front disc with billet hub etc etc
This machine usually has a Winter overhaul and in readiness I'm currently working on a new frame loop with miniscule welded on side panels, the loop will be removable, I'll post pics as and when I do it if people are interested. Had to do something as I've had problems with the current loop cracking as there's no strength due to the side panel lip being removed. Mind you it lasted 5 years before the probs started so I cant complain.
Pic below is an old one so one or two bits will not be the same.

I like the way the spare wheel allows you to use a mudguard and JL pipe without it lookng like ita hanging way out the back. Its different because although its a cut down the dimensions aren't far off a full frame at the back.

Coincidentally I've just been to collect the new frame loop from my welder mate, as always a top job. Various bits of plating and strengthening undernearth and panels welded on with a fine beading running all the way around and a slightly raised lip to fuel hole. Bracket for attachment at front, the rear will attach with two of the seat bracket holes. Itching to chop the old loop off but that will have to wait until after Brid.

I bet Karen loves it when she sees you bring unpainted metal into the house

Thanx mate for your infos, you got some tasty scoots, really love the original overlook of the cutdown and the fact that it mates style and pragmatism!!
And the serie 1 is as simple as beautiful!
