I'm not actually worried about the speedo, but just the mileage. Hope the MBD speedo comes out soon.

You could strap one of these on your handlebars...

I first saw one of these being used on a Lambretta in Holland and having suffered a speedo with an untreatable case of optimism that meant that passing a speed camera was always like entering the unknown. The Forerunner is meant to be used by joggers and atheletes for training, but in it's simplest format it shows just speed, time and distance travelled. As it is GPS controlled, it is accurate and very useful for guaging the distance between fuel stops.

Ebay auction, less than £50.

My speedo is as accurate as its going to get. over 50 miles its 1mile out. going through them village speed indicators it shows as near as dam it to the speed on the speedo. The wife was following me the other day and clocked me at 30mph in a 30 zone so that's good enough for me. It doesn't wave around an is very steady.

90mph speedo + cable and worm drive from turners in merseyside, scootrs anti dive hub.

Red you must try harder :frog: :D

I've got a Garmin Edge 205 and it's excellent, but I wanted a permanent/proper fixture. so hopefully MBD's speedo will do the job.

You'll be lucky to get one that cheap nowadays Martin, my 101 cost that just over a year ago but haven't seen one that cheap for a while now.

Incidently if someone fancies one of these the difference between the 101 and 201 is the 201 is rechargeable, the 101 needs 2x aaa batteries - much easier to change these than recharge in the middle of a campsite ;)

Mine was £42.24, last week. I think I must have got lucky (for once). I've monitored a few others since and they are more like £60.

I request permission to feel slightly smug. :D

The Garmin charger is the same polarity, voltage and plug as the more recent Nokia phone charger, which means that if you are stuck on a campsite with no power socket, you can breakdown on the way home without knowing where you are, or being able to call for help.

That's technology for you!
