Thanks. If this friggin rain eases up today I'll give it a go. I was worried about the big gap and the pulling back stress because of it being off centre

not the best pics but here goes, hope this helps. hopefully you can see that the bracket from the front of the chaincase is in front of the one coming up from the expancion part.
