dont understand how switch can be sparking if you have no power to it . is brake light connected right , try connecting brake light wire from light unit to the black wire from harnesto rear light as this is feed to rule this out

mark, the brake light switch sparks when brake lever comes into contact or just leaves switch..only when engine is running..
wires to brake switch, pink and brown (two browns)
wires to led light, black, pink, and a earth

sorry for any misunderstanding

if you touch the 2 browns and the pink out of the sitch together then the brake light should come on as if you have sparks at switch you must have power there. this means if you have connected the pink from rear light to pink from switch it should work

This might sound stupid and obvious, but make sure your earth is touching metal. I had that problem with my powdercoated frame. There was no way the earth wire could pick up the earth through the powdercoat!

Evening all,
sorted the rear brake out tonight, had a continuity tester on it and found the pink wire had a break in it....
Every thing is ready for its MOT
