But it looks a bit bigger on the picture then it actually is.

Yes it is cnc'd from a big lump of 6061 T6 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/6061_aluminium_alloy)! Thats why its not cheap!Wayne Miller wrote:Hi Joe, he said in an earlier post . . . .joespeed wrote:is it sand or pressure cast?
'Custom CNC 6061 T6 Rear Hub to match front hub'
Looks like its machined from a lump of ally
Even if it is not as big as it looks in the picture, I still think you will have a problem with the air rolling off the end of the fins of the fan (cavitating) before it can be pushed over the cylinder. The design of the standard fan cover is for a reason.Ruudboy wrote:Because we are going to paint the flywheel...

Well we only removed the inner circles (which are open anyway) but interesting point. Could always add some custom wording like done on many other bikes before.Knowledge wrote:Even if it is not as big as it looks in the picture, I still think you will have a problem with the air rolling off the end of the fins of the fan (cavitating) before it can be pushed over the cylinder.
