It's an old trick. But; generally speaking the engine side is always the first to go with the stress of the engine twisting. Hence more support in that area. It might be my imagination but I do think they help to reduce the vibration too.

I just replaced my 3 hole mounts with SIL 2 hole mounts. Aligning the holes according to Sticky, and the right side collapsed completely within 100 miles. I figure being on the kick start side had something to do with it failing, other than it being a crappy mount in the first place. Back to the three hole mount.

i had exactly the same problem, but now realise it was my engine cones, it seems 1/2 mm play on a cone is like 5mm at the mount

Does the double mount fit under the panel ok? their seems not to be a lot of space under my GP panel, with my TS 1's TMX 35 almost rubbing on the panel, the kickstart side mount has collapsed twice now in under 2000 miles, first was an SIL 3 hole second was a SIL 2 hole, so need to find something better, what's the differance in length when fitted over the standard mount?

Is one side (kickstart/RHS) longer and the other side standard length? I'm currently running the Clauss Studios urethane ones but these look decent without increasing vibration.
