What's your fuel flow rate like?

Fast flow tap that has given decent flow when I've looked at it in the past.....but, yeah, haven't checked it recently. Gotta be worth a look tomorrow. Cheers.

I'm running a Rapido 225 open mouth, under panels, with a 118 main jet, and I think it's a touch rich. Might be over jetted?

eden wrote:The pickup that I had that would only rev to 6k rpm on the stand tested fine with a multimeter! it revved fine all the way up to 6k rpm then just wouldn't rev any higher, changed pickup and engine revved to over 9k rpm on the stand.
I had the same with a replacement NEW pickup, scoot fired up but failed to rev past 5500rpm.

Ai, think a dodgy pickup is favourite going by what a couple of you have said. Shame I couldn't try one I know that works for defo, best I can do is fit the new stator when it gets here and hope it's okay.
Jetting probably isn't great as I've no experience of reed valves but don't think it's a million miles out. Will be getting it dynoed when I get a chance. If you heard the scooot when it's being revved hard on the stand I reckon most would agree it sounds llike an ignition problem.

Do keep us informed! I've got one of those kits, just not fitted it yet!

Fitted the new stator last night and rode t scoot t work today. It now revs out well clean, no splutter all the way to full bore on t stand, well pleased. Sorted.......... probably was the pick-up breaking down, spot on, cheers for the advice.
But it still coughs and hisses when cruising and over around 50mph. Must be unrelated. Will be doing a good few hundred miles on it next weekend so that'll be t true test. Will let you know what happens......
