Thats very good going for an rb22, but how long did it take you to get there.....

To be honest after the humber bridge i was looking to fill up but i missed the only petrol station between hull and lincoln so for the last ten miles or so i was bricking it, but when we eventually filled up mine took less to fill than an SR190 on a jetex that was in our group. I wasn't really motoring on the RB either that day, but i have found it to be way better on fuel than the TS1 that it replaced.

IMHO, the piston that comes with the kit is fine for the majority of users, if however you have spare funds an MB piston is well known for its quality. As for cranks, MB Alpha and JB Corsa are good choices, but if your wallet doesnt stretch that far, try Indian webs with upgraded bearing, rod and welded pin. Gearbox of choice for me is usually Li150 or GP200 (Indian) with appropriate sprockets to get correct final drive ratio for your tune. Exhaust will be the most important choice, as it will change your power curve depending on which pipe you use. I like the look of the curves i've seen for the fatmamba pipes on RBs, but there are plenty to choose from depending what you want the kit to do. Carbs, Dellortto 30mm is fine for most purposes, although a 34mm flatslide might run better with a 'race-type' setup. Run a 6 plate clutch system, jap engine bearings, light flywheel, and decent brakes (anti-dive front disc), suspension (BGM) and tyres (Schwalbe).

What sort of power curve does the fat mamba give for the RB, is it a more even spread? Was waiting for the new ADS one but not sure how long that will be?
