I find this post most interresting as im wanting to get a seamed 12 litre tank with cut out. I was going to take it down the welders to get some extra weld slapped on where the tap exits as I underestood that this is where the problems occur. didnt want to get it all painted up nice only for it to leak. I hadnt thought that it might leak from the seam, seems to me that this is a potentialy difficult place to weld as the actual hole might be difficult to find and look awful when welded.
