clutch help needed

hi all
changed my front an rear sproket but damaged the clutch spider so got a new one
put it all back together but the clutch didnt work took it apart again and found the top clutch plate need the ears bending in put it back together again and still no good i hav to adust it so much so its not dragging when i put it into gear to pull away, but it slips big time when riding and the lever is then so hard to pull in
any ideas ?

did you bend the bottom one down as well? you may as well take it down to John and ask him to do it....You know thats where it will end up...lol
