ordered a 46 tooth rear sprocket from a lambretta dealer selling parts on ebay

the sprocket was different one to that shown on listing (not bothered too much - would have been nice to have seen the burrs on the teeth though)

the central bore was too big

the bronze bush was a loose fit and rocked in the bore

took the sprocket to another dealer who tried 3 different bushes from different suppliers inc. the scooter loopy one and all were way too loose to be of use

tried another sprocket and the bushes were a good fit with no rocking play

returned the sprocket to the dealer who supplied it explaining the problem

he has returned the sprocket to me and GLUED a bronze bush to the sprocket so theres no play (and no movement)

surely i cant be expected to use this bodge in my lambretta?

cheers

Not fit for purpose, you have a right to your money back including any postage and make the part available for him to collect. This is in the sale of goods act and applies to ebay dealers too. Use Paypal or your creit card company too, this sort of thing makes my blood boil

All I can say is thank god for the dremel...without it we would have even more not fit for purpose bits in the junk pile..

Erection scooters would be a better name for them, as you know you're gonna get stiffed.
