giving carbs an unrestrictive amount of cool /dense air is one thing,
but giving barrel cooling from a relativley cool air supply ,is another.
the problem is that on std bodied lammys, most of the air that is taken into the fan/flywheel has been pre heated,as it is taken in from under the panels.
the problem is further exacperated in that the exit of hot air is also released out of the cylinder cowl and back under the panels....

Sef,

I popped down to JB to photograph the panel for you. They are metal panels with remarkably little filler.

And again from the inside.

Nice one mart, much appreciated. They are soooooooooooo lovley. I wonder if they roll the metal as opposed to weld it, then let it into the panel? These pics will be going down to the welders and tell him to run me one up toot sweet.

I have often wondered if the plastic imitation grill seen on GP’s just under the seat should actual be a real vented grill, I think it will certainly aid airflow around the engine area.
