I'm not sure if removing that much is a good idea either. The shape those rims form is called a volute, this is used in centrifugal pumps (which is what the fan actually is) to reduce turbulence and turn kinetic energy into pressure energy at the outlet. If removing it creates more turbulence then that would reduce pressure at the outlet and airflow would actually be less.rakki wrote:I did the modification on pics posted by dapper.
