For a two stroke engine is it best to have a high primary compression with a lower compression ratio or vice versa?.......or indeed have a higher pressure for both?......

A lot of "oldschool" tuning say higher primary....with tapered transfer ports....

Does anyone think this could be revived and start the whole process again including exhaust tuning....or has it had it`s day, and we are onto better thing`s?....
Nostalgia is a thing of the past!....
