due to a slight mistake was going to build ts240 with 62 crank but ended up with a 64/110 gt crank . have also got
new rt225 with original piston
new ts225 asso & meteor piston
gt case
mb shorty reed
mamoth head
new dellorto 30 phbh
exhaust choices
original taffy mk4
franspeed road
devtour
bgm clubman v3
af clo5e gearbox with tall 5th
my thoughts are ts is a no go due to high transfers an exh , the rt will work with the meteor ts piston & mb reed 125 transfers but how much exh timing and which exh & what final gear ratio.

I’d certainly go for the TS1, why wouldn’t you? The pipe you choose will dictate the end result.

don’t fit a 3mm base packer instead possibly a 1mm to 2mm thick base gasket and add up to 3mm to the top of the barrel wouldn’t that adjust the transfer and exhaust port timings on your ts1 possibly a workaround for the 64x110 gt crank; the 110 rod will lift the piston at bdc 3mm from the crankcase mouth and the 6mm longer stroke will put the piston 3mm back down towards the crankcase mouth putting the piston at bdc back in a similar position as it was with a 58x107 rod; you can adjust the transfer timings with a base packer but it doesn’t have to be 3mm thick it could be thinner; settle on the port timings then either add alloy to the cylinder and get it replated; or try using a thick head gasket making sure the rings are not too close to the top of the barrel at full stroke
C’est la vie

thanks for the coments decided to keep the ts for a 62 crank couldn't get timings where i wanted them without the top ring coming out of the bore . settled for the rt have cut a boost port ive got
125 trans
120 boost
175 exh
with devtour and 4.6 final ratio I'm hoping this will give me a nice touring engine.if it doesn't I will get a worn or damaged ts and have another go.

What I did
Using a 62x110 crank, I got a damaged TS1 cylinder welded an extra fin on the top & had it machined too where I wanted port timings, it made barrel 8mm longer. then sent it away with a new wossner piston too PJ Engineering for them to fit a new liner.
All just ran in, Transfers 125 & exhaust 175

Nice 🚀
