EGT. Why is it important to not let it get to high? I cant remember, dont know if i ever actually new anyway. :roll:

if exhaust gas temp too high you will probably hole a piston or sieze it up if you keep riding.

Alternatively if the temperature suddenly drops that can be an indication that the head is retaining the heat and you may hold a piston........which is what happened on my Rapido

with an egt fitted you just remember the temp it blew up last time and don’t go ever there again
