I have recently rebuilt the clutch on my Malossi 210 and now have a problem. It works normally for the most part but, when in gear with the clutch in, I rev it up and it takes off as if I have let the clutch out!
At tickover its not creeping, at low revs it doesn't move- only when I rev it past around 4000k or so.
Its a 7 springer, Basket's in good nick,
medium weight springs (unchanged from before)
New Brass bush (SIP grooved type)
New Honda CR80 plates (soaked around 12hrs)
Oil drive cog installed behind clutch
New M12X1.5mm K-Nut
All other original parts re installed
I didn't have this problem before, so can only assume its either the Plates or the Bush (which did seem tight)
But with the bush being 4X the cost of the genuine one and SIP raving about the machining quality of it I'm unsure.
The Honda CR80 plates also seem to have rave reviews on the forums, and they slid in with no resistance.
Should I have soaked them longer?
Has anyone seen this problem before?

Turned out that I had to put about 30 miles on the scooter due to the car dying and it's bedded in and is now the smoothest clutch I've used! I can only assume the new bush was the fault as it was tight.
Glad I didn't strip it straight away now as it's lovely.
Thanks for the reply though!
SUMMERS HERE BOYS!!!
