Spraying hoop on Lambretta frame, prepped using #5 high build primer, put 2-3 coats of 2 pack white paint. Left white paint to dry best part of the day - then used clear coat and it has wrinkled really badly in a couple of areas (but majority of hoop is fine). Can I just let it dry, sand back down, rebuild/prime then add more white? Hoping I can just do the areas that has wrinkled - not have to redo the whole hoop
Any advice most appreciated! Total newbie when it come to spray painting!
Help! Clearcoat lifted/wrinkled base coat :-(

Was doing the frame myself and the panels were being done elsewhere and as they had decals they were being lacquered. I thought that the frame would need to be lacquered to match. Turns out they didn't so just did the 2k in the end and it turned out mint.

It's important to let the primer cure fully before putting top coats on. This will mean leaving it a few days if you don't have access to proper heaters. If you don't, the top coat will go of the primer will stay soft.
