For the longer stud change it to a bolt. It makes changing the manifold a lot easier

I did that when I changed carb from an SH22 to a PHBL,but I couldn't tighten the bolt and had to change back to the stud and nylock nut.The nylock nut stood further up the thread of the stud and was easier to get a spanner on it.

More help/info required please!

As mentioned in an earlier post, I have now got everything back together with Jettex 22mm carb in situ, jetted as follows:

Starter 50
Pilot 45
Atomiser 5899-2
Slide for 150cc (scoot is an LIS 150
Main Jet 106
Airscrew is one and a half turns out, tried it both richer and leaner!

Can get bike started with choke on, but it is revving quite high. However, as soon as I turn choke off, engine bogs and dies. If I hold the choke halfway, revs drop to normalish, and I can actually rev the engine by moving choke lever! Looking through hole in carb, choke plunger is opening and closing as it should!

Had air filter and hose off, kicked scoot with throttle fully open, hand over carb mouth and there is plenty of fuel! Tried with a 48 pilot, no change!

Carb and jets have been thoroughly cleaned.

Manifold fastened down OK.

Anything else I should be checking / have missed?

Cheers
Martin
