Any 'speedo fix' tricks?

I was in contact withe guy who does the keys (can't remember his name now) about having my original kph speedo calibrated and reset to mph, he just vanished and after a couple of emails and stoped replying altogether.

You're lucky - he already had my speedo (original Spanish) when comms went dead! These speedos are very easy to dissemble, rebuild and adjust. It already does not work correctly, just take it apart, clean/oil the drive and adjust the needle drag ring (not sure of the proper name for it but that's what it does). More gap = less drag= higher needle reading.
