I know what you mean, we are on holiday on the Isle of Man at the moment and it must be 50 years to the week since I came to my first IoM scooter rally here!

Planning on leaving as is, but finding it difficult lol. Going to/have , replaced some bits and pieces that were/are past saving, and treated any rust. Might in due course tidy some of the worst areas up, eg the footboards which are both split badly. After all, I am just the current custodian of the bike and part of its ongoing history, and if I had owned it from new, it would probably look different to how it looks now as repairs would have been done when necessary! Determined to keep the 6 volt system though, as long as I get get it to be more reliable than it is at moment, as sometimes it starts 2nd/3rd kick, other times it just does not want to start! All part of the Lambretta experience though! :D

its frightening where the time goes. In April 1968 I got my first scooter an LI150 S3 reg 998 PHY. Remember getting it like it was yesterday.

Lifes too short to worry about the little things.
