Anyone got a tip to remove a pivot pin from a dellorto (standard SH) tried pulling with long nose pliers, no chance, do i have to destroy the float? Cheers.

Try warming the pillars with hot water and use vise grips instead of pliers.

I can't remember whether the pin hole / drilling goes all the way through on an SH or Jetex, however, on one or t'other I have managed to start it moving by poking the other end, then got it loose enough to remove from the correct end.

Good luck with it.

I've removed the pin using a vice, their was just enough of the pin to grip with the vice and pull it out.
