I have been running the SIP speedo on my lambretta for a while now but I have always had the same issue. When I shut the throttle off and brake the speedo can loose all power. I have put this down to when I shut the revs off and brake It is not producing enough current to run the rear brake light and the speedo. A quick blip of the throttle and speedo jumps back into life. It is running a 12volt ignition but no battery.
Any one tell me how to sort this my thoughts are to buy a higher wattage stator or am I barking up the wrong tree.

Your quite correct, your 12v is dropping too low at low revs. The only real solution is to fit a battery, or maybe one of these https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1 ... &source=48

Minority was referring to a new device being made and sold by Anthony Tambs under his 'Scootronics' brand. He also builds high output stators, electronic speedos etc. the description for this little DC supply box is
"4 scootronics Intelli converters available for immediate dispatch. Only £30 plus £1.30 p/p. Run your accessories without the need of a battery. Max output 2 amps. Mobile phone will normally take about 0.5 amps and sat nav the same. Very stable output over the full rev range. I program the output to 13.8 volt with no load connected. With a 1 amp load connected this drops to approx 13.65 volt. Dead simple to wire up. 2 yellow wires for the A.C. input. Connect one to chassis/ground and the other to your AC source ie: main feed to ignition switch. The output comes with a built in 3.15 amp 20mm fuse. Fully tested and working correctly. Green flashing led showing the unit is working correctly. On the back of the box there is an M5 stud for easy mounting."
I'm not sure if he has a website but his device would solve you problem for a lot less than buying a new stator
