I have a Zundapp Bella with a current V5C, problem is it has an A-reg 1983 plate, issued when first registered in the uk.
It also states on the logbook DECLARED MANUFACTURED 1957, so in theory I don`t have to prove it`s age.
Is it possible to apply for an age-related 1957 plate?
Getting an age-related plate query

Yes it is but you'll probably need a dating certificate from an authorised source despite what it says in the current V5.
Usually costs around a tenner from VMSC or a the Zundapp club (I'm sure there is one).
If you send a turd to the DVLA you need a certificate to say it's yours....

Did you have to do that?

Rang Swansea, apparently the reg I have is 1963 A-reg and if the scoot was still in the UK then it would have to keep it but since it`s now in NI then I can apply for an age-related plate for over here
