Hi, does this look original for an sx150 1966?

I've never seen one in the flesh so only going off pictures. Anyone know why it would have black instead of chrome detailing?

Cheers Rob

Certainly not original in the sense of 'unrestored'. The frame might be a genuine SX150 but the panels are not SX150, the rubbers should not be black, the horncast grill should not be black, front mudguard crest should not be black, etc. and I'm sure the list would go on if the photo was clearer.

Whilst it might be built up on an SX150 frame (perhaps), it is certainly not an accurate resto or unrestored SX150. If what you can see isn't right, you would be gambling on what you can't see!

I was hoping it's just been painted over but it all looks too crisp

Just a word of caution. We shouldn't write it off. I know of one late SX150 with LI panels, and judging by the rectangular horncast badge and the fact that the panels are clip on I would look a bit harder at it. There was some discussion as to whether they existed. But they do.
