Hi Guys,
I've bought one of these and wondered best painting methods etc, so it stays on. I'm going to paint myself but wondered where to get paint and choice of colours.

Ignore all of the expensive high temp paints and use B&Q barbecue paint. Lasts for ages. Paint it when your wife is out and slow bake it in the oven. (It does smell a bit!)Strummer10 wrote:Hi Guys,

Black only, no undercoat but as said, make sure it's grease free, it comes in a spray can.Strummer10 wrote:Thanks, any need for primer or undercoat or just slop it on ? Any ideas what colours or is it just black ?

It has to be 'baked' afterward. Wait for it to dry, then put it on and take it for a run so it gets nice and hot. It's supposed to be heated for about an hour.
Ovens are a good way, and it does indeed smell, but there's now way I could fit a clubman in my oven.
The B&Q stuff is pretty good.
