Maybe Willenhall were aware of this thread or maybe it's just a coincidence. Either way, a pretty reasonable solution.

A couple of years ago my landlord refused to return the deposit. As I was dealing with a solicitor in the purchase of my house, I asked him - he said £650? not worth it. Not on his earning maybe...

I downloaded all the documents from the Small Claims Court, filled in as necessary and sent them off. The other side has so long to think and ponder. Once the days are up, at that point, you have to pay to have your case put in the system. You win you get it back, they pay + extra I think. Loose, that's gone too. (the extra could have been because they were breaking the law by not returning the deposit).
Can't remember the costs as the b@5t@rds paid up, as is quite common.
Good luck with your efforts.

with hindsight I reckon this is a pretty poor deal. Notwithstanding the stance taken by both Ebay and Paypal which in my opinion is crap, the seller has a problem with HIS method of forwarding the item.

Following some obvious bad publicity on here, Willenhall have magnanimously agreed to send another kit but are charging Daggs the sum of £25 for doing so- WTF is going on? Its not Daggs fault it went missing- why should he pay again (albeit only £25.00)

As an attempt to win back some goodwill Willenhall, its failed big time- you should have simply sent a new kit FOC and taken it up with your courier.

Another "trader" off my list- at this rate there will only be one or two I trust.

Customer Service isn't "rocket science" Willenhall!

Agreed. Willenhall owes Daggs the kit he paid for originally. Hermes is willenhalls problem not Daggs.

Oh well I'm sure this will put the mockers on it !!
Taken delivery of several items from said Supplier in last few days. Service has been first class. And Hermes in my part of the world are excellent.
Where possible always add a note to the order about alternative delivery locations.
Sadly none of this helps the original poster but that's not as I see it the Supplier's fault.

Guys, I don't know if this thread has had any impact on the situation or not. But if Willenhall do what they promised yesterday. Even with me paying £25, I will be happy with the outcome.
