indian engine number identification.

i have just bought a british reg 1969 gp with an indian engine fitted.i would like to find out more about the indian engine numbers there is the one set of numbers in the normal place and different numbers stamped by the engine mount.can anyone point me in the right direction to find out about these numbers and what they mean eg 150,175, thanks,mick.

Mick, This is how the engine number is stamped in my Vijai Super.
The full number is stamped near the tie rod. It starts with the SIL logo and then *22*and so on.
Only the last 6 digits of this full engine number is stamped on the right side engine mount, near the 13mm studs.
