Suffice to say that the air screw wasn't the reason for the lumpy tickover. Main reason was the base gasket getting snagged on the dowel in barrel causing air leak.

I can't blame anyone but myself for that one!

Chaps...Ive just read about the 1.5 turns old 2.5 turns new....great info

Ive got a Rally200 which seems to be running like an ageing tractor (always has since Ive rebuilt it) and just realised I had this screw 2.5 turns out like the Spaco ones....so hopefully that might make a difference.

What would be the symptoms of having it like I had it it?
My problems are it feels like its juddering slightly going along (and definitely down hill with no throttle) and seems to struggle to stay at the same revs on tickover...Im pretty sure theres no air leak and the carbs clean as, so Im struggling after that...all the standard jets apart from the 125(6?) as main (210 rebore drilled filter and sip2 road pipe)

cheers Kevin

PS I might also check my base gasket now :D
