When they are in stock, AF Rayspeed 175 kits are good value for money, cheap motoring. (£170?)
RB20s are very powerful, but more expensive. (£390?)
MBs RT190 promises to be good when its released. (£500??)

Nicasill lined V cast iron in alloy or cast iron?? simple . In theory a nicasill lined barrel will never need a rebore and has the potential for a little more power due to slightly better cooling. however in practice when a cast iron job needs a rebore it will cost 20 to 30 quid, a nicasill replate will cost 180 to 200 quid. tuning a nicasill lined barrel takes 1/4 the time of tuning a cast iron jobby, as a tight fisted under payed engineer I like cast iron liners in an alloy barrel, if I had unlimmited resourses I would go for a nicasill liner in an alloy barrel or a ceramic lined alloy barrel. Question is 3 to 4 bhp v 200 quid for a repair.
It`s all powerfull white mans magic

it may be true that an alloy kit dissipates heat slightly better than a iron one......................................but at the end of the day it does not count for much..........................
most alloy kits now have much less fin area anyway..................
i think its far more important to get your basic set up correct.............rather than worry about cast/verses alloy...................

the point is that i bought a cast iron one on ebay but then the seller told me
that there was a problem with the one i bought and suggested to go for an aluminium one for the same price.
is the aluminium one that bad for £75?
I am not sure if it's a Nikasill plated.
Thanks
