1/ Should the Front spring that holds the front sprocket & Cush drive on, spin even when fitted correctly?
2/ Are there different size/length front springs?
3/ could the Cush drive jump whilst on tick over causing a loud knocking noise until revved?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers :)

From memory, some S1 springs are shorter than the rest, which may give rise to the symptoms outlined.

Can you measure your spring in an uncompressed state?
