Hi all, got a golden special with a steel 175 kit, 42 mm clubman, carb is one of those reworked jettex from cam lam, 120 main jet BR9 plug, runs great but feel it could do with upgearing a wee bit.
its running 46 crown & 16 front sprocket , if i fitted a 17 front sprocket would it pull it ok ? just asking before i get a new 81 link chain :?

many many thanks

Does it pull strongly in fourth but seem to be revving hard flat out ?

If so it might stand an extra tooth, you don't say what gearbox is in there?

If you have an idea what it's revving out at try one of the gearbox calculators

http://avantone.wordpress.com

http://www.scooterhelp.com/tuning/lam.gear.calc.html

Might give you an idea of what to expect for the effort / expense.
