some say a 22 will fit , never tried it meself, heard good and bad, don't want to risk the bad . I personally like a 125 gear box and primaries in a tuned P2, as its easy to change the ratios to suit the conditions by swapping the clutch cog, 20-21-22, three easy options. better box without the massive 3rd to 4th gear jump.

If its any help, I am still running a 22/65 primary on mine. 3500 miles and nothing bad happened yet, not seen metal in the gear oil. Just goes like stink without any the 4th gear issues. SIP reckon there is no issue...

Have you got the short fourth in there?

Dropping to a 22 tooth wont change the 3rd/4th gap, just lower your 4th. It'll give you 5.0 final drive. That's quite low. Out of town, it'll make your ears bleed.

Ive recently fitted a DRT 22 tooth clutch drive plate to my HB 207 with T5 fourth after reading Jack 221's recommendations in an earlier thred and so far I have been very pleased with it...better acceleration, no probs when going from 3rd into 4th n same top end so I give it a big thumbs up so far

So glad its working out for yours too Johnny! Yours will be the straight cut 22/64 with T5 4th then?

Mutley, I still have the standard P2 4th. With the 22/65 primary it is low enough for mine. I have tuned it a bit revvy, so lost some torque on the way. It would only ever go over 80mph on the GPS downhill before I put the 22 tooth clutch in!

No I still run the std 65 tooth primary jack DRT do a helically cut 22 tooth clutch drive plate to fit the old style seven spring clutch it doesn't rev as hard in 3rd reving out at 60 instead of 65 mph but carries on accelerating when changed into 4th which it struggled to do with a 23 tooth
