As much as i enjoyed the Shootout, information on what engines and riders/tuners would have added a bit more interest. The sound system did it's best but it was competing against some very loud exhausts.......Exhausts 1 - Announcer 0.

what was dissapointing for a number of us was the 4 lanes that were set up all had recording methods for top speed but the 2 centre quarter mile lanes had both speed and time

the very essence of sprinting is the 1/4 mile and throughout the year times are used to establish who wins using times as lets face it the fastest time = the first man over the finish line :D the winner :D but!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at the scooter shootout  no your actually the loser in some cases as the faster time is normally a slower speed
w.t.f. so why bother to set up a timing system ???????????????????

Fot those that don't know, don't do or don't like Facebook............and want to see what times/speeds were achieved and thence understand some of the commentary on here ..................
All of the Shoot Out results are posted on the Straighliners pages on Facebook, and have been since just after the event.
It would be useful if someone, more IT literate than me, could take all the pdf's from the Straightliners Facebook site and post them on here and possibly also in the 'Sprinting' section on the Fast Scooter website.
Straightliners haven't posted the results on their own web pages dedicated to the Shoot out .......yet

Makes for good reading.

Well done to all those that took part. Full respect to all those that actually put their bikes down the strip, regardless of results. It is easy to talk about how fast your scooter is, especially down the pub, but it actually takes some balls to put your money where your mouth is and take a scoot down the strip when all eyes are watching.
