I've suffered from heat seizures for feckin' years. My carb has been set up perfectly. Examples; on this b/h Monday I took a 25 mile motorway ride in glorious sunshine and warm weather and it ran like a dream.

Today I got on the motorway in colder temperatures and nipped up after four miles!

Work that one out! :-(

Cold air=dense air=more air=lean condition=sieze

For me, I like to jet a bike when it's around 70f, this way when the weather cools down or warms up the jetting won't be too far off from where I started and extreme changes in the weather can be handled by a mix adjustment on the carb.

Yep, cold air will cause a leaner condition. A road going scooter should be jetted with enough margin for error in my opinion. For example, it will run rich with slighty less performance on a hot day and run better on a cool day but not too lean. If you have and adjustable power jet and EGT or CHT you can adjust jetting easily to suit conditions for better performance.

Same conditions as yesterday, took it out for a few miles thrashing with fingers over the clutch & it ran really well. Doing me nut in!
