Can modern carbon HT leads such as those available in a halfords be used on SIL 12v Electronic set ups?.

In theory yes.The problem is that you can't really use a screw in type Ngk ht cap or screw the lead into the cdi as the carbon breaks up.

no prob mate.. that type of lead is usually suppressed also. I had to run them on an ignition I used to use. But I used a bosch type car coil on the other end so a push in connector was ok.
