I recon a max of 100 miles myself for just new rings.

With my Muggy I ran the whole kit in for 250 miles (fairly quick as well!!)

I've just had new rings in my RB 22 fitted by AF at last service, only done about 1700 miles from new(also needed new reed petals)and was told to run them in for 25 miles as long as I didn't go 2 up or cane it up hills(as if I would!!!)
I do not try to explain why I ride Lambrettas,
For those who understand, no explanation is necessary,
For those who don't, no explantion is possible.
