Just how dangerous is 2 pack.
Had an off last Sunday, broken and dislocated thumb now K Wired, but more importantly a battered and bruised scoot!
Wouldn't mind having a go myself so I'm just wondering what safety considerations I need to look into.
Got an old Haynes Bodywork manual and it says that 2 pack is cyanatic (?) and full breathing it is required.
What would you lot suggest as a minimum?

It is dangerous stuff but so long as you take sensible precaucions you'll be fine for occational exposure. Pros need to uber careful as the the effects are cumulative. 3M do a mask which lasts up to about 20 or 30 hours which will be fine for you use, so as you have good ventilation where you are spaying.

If you are not sure what you are doing - don't do it at all.joeythescooterboy wrote:Just how dangerous is 2 pack.

2K paints can be very nasty, paint your self by all means, but take advice from your paint supplier.
Even if you get hold of an air fed mask, you need to be sure that the air going in to it is purified to medical standards. Breathing the vapourised oil and crap from your compressor is not a good idea either.
Its only dangerous if you breathe it in or get it on your skin in any shape or form. Lol

You'll die. I've a friend who does his own and it's evil stuff. Just a little bit of touch up will gas you in an enclosed space.

Seriously, get yourself one of these and then buy one of those one piece diposable baby grow decorating suits and a some vinyl gloves. get some through ventilation going with a door/windows open and maybe a fan and you'll be fine assuming you don't suffer from any respiratory ailments. Also think about family and neighboursjoeythescooterboy wrote:Boll*x to that then, think I'll do it in crayon!
