AV270 with x7 p2 gives me the best rideable progression through the range on a tuned ts1 setup. If AFR looks safe on dyno (inertia type dyno, ususal spec) then the only way of really checking if its safe when power come on pipe and throttle is backed off for cruising is tons of plug chops ? Or is there another way.

Tried numerous combos of setup ie x2/266 , as266, x13 av266 & 268 x4 268 & 270 - i'm starting to lose count actually.

x13 and av268 looked great on the dyno afr wise but on the road was unrideable from 4k upwards. Mid range stutter is my real issue with the previous combo's

188 exhaUST AND 127 TRANSFERS

Nice guess there . But not even on the main when 4k issues start. Its a mid range (needle atomiser problem). Exh port TF timings brought down now by a further 5 degrees but problem persists. See top of post for the best useable setup, but still nearly 13:1 afr in mid range throttle when power starts to come on the pipe. I will resove this problem one day honest !

stuck bike back on dyno with setup as follows. ( big thanks for Rob opening school up to let me use the dyno , by the way )

AV270 , x7 p2 , 140 MAIN , 55 pilot, 1.75 air screw, 19 degrees static with augusto 6000, NK rally.2.5 packer to bring exhaust asnd transfer timings down. Motor leak free - AFR now acceptable with bare minimum of 4k stutter that you can just throttle through. Interestingly Position 3 on needle was rich as a mother low down and P1 was too lean.

Will play about with washers once the weather warms up again.

This level of tune worked best all round with x7 . x10 & X4 coming in 2nd and 3rd places.

what have you got 19 degrees at tick over, my augusto 6000 is set at 22-23 at tick over and 16 at 6000 revs on a ts1 230, 60 stroke , on a 35mm tmx and franspeed supertour. and my mid tune 225 ts1 17 degrees static 30 mm phbh 55 idle av266 x13 second clip from top 135 main both with ramair filters set up on dyno by diablo moto . you could ring replay scooters to check timing they fitted my augusto 6000. col

Better to ride safe when ridin hard - not arsed about smooth low down runnin , more concerned with getting heat into exhaust rather than combustion chamber- so what if it drops to 13 degrees. All the best
