Dynoed a few years ago, but very similar. 225 TS1,30mm VHSH carb, JL3 exhaust.

60 pilot (plus idle tube, standard supplied I guess.Sometimes they are omitted), 152 main jet, DP266, K5 needle 2nd clip down, matched transfers, no airfilter....

Hope that helps..

Regards

OK, glad its helpfull... The set-up I sent you was a standard supplied carb from Reedspeed (west mids) after telling them the engine spec. I had my GP dynoed after fitting the carb, always advisable, all it needed was a quick Jerome (owner of Reedspeed) needle feetle (light sanding) to get it to run as smooth as silk... So the jetting is pretty close....
As for your K8 needle, be mindful that the numbers don't represent a 'close to' the next needle. Check out the Dellorto website for the actual profile differences between K5 and K8..

Just to re-itterate the needle differences..i once used a X12 needle in a 30mm PHBH carb on a 200cc engine many moons ago... After a blown piston (8 miles down the road), I realised the X12 was a mile away from the X13 needle, which was much richer (I should have started with)... You learn from your mistakes..!!

K needles seem to be longer than U needles ..... most seem to favor Ks, maybe a dyno is the way to go cant keep chucking different needles etc to get the right combination !!
