Can anyone advise please  don't ask me why but I've had an attack of nostalgia and have decided to fit an Amal MK2 concentric onto my 225.I've only ever used Dellorto/jetex in the last 20 + years, haven't used an Amal for years, got hold of 3 Amals and am now in the process of jetting it roughly to give me a starting point, what I'm aiming for is main jet 310,needle jet 107,needle 2D1,slide 3.5 (got a chrome slide),pilot 35,choke 50-55.The bits that are confusing me are the pilot and choke, have looked on the amal uk site and surrey cycles, but I've just baffled myself even more
1) is the pilot jet the one in the float bowl?

2)The carb body I'm going to use has been machined down so it fits a dellorto 30 manifold, and the venturi has as well for better panel clearance I presume,it also ran a powerjet, which I don't want,am I right in thinking that this was for the powerjet

3) Can't seem to find a choke jet :? is this where its supposed to be?

4) on here it shows a brass gauze over the main jet http://www.amalcarb.co.uk/AmalExplodedI ... pares=true# is this necessary? any help much appreciated,
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order.

can't help you at all I'm afraid, but the thought of an Amal Concentric takes me way back to 1968 as this was the tuners choice on Lambrettas at that time- happy happy days.

Good Luck with it
