can anyone help 172 t5 mixtire screw 4.5 turns out to eliminate bog got 50/100 pilot jet in main 124 pm pipe 4.5 turns seems excessive but scoot picks up clean when reved oil seals have all been changed

122 main for a sito+ or simonini or 125 for the pm pipe, i would start higher though and come down to 125. best to black a plug than break the engine.

all other jets standard.

t5, 172 mallossi, standard carb, autolube, taffy pipe standard jetting apart from 122 main jet

flat out at 70mph at 8000 rpm

Leave the timing as standard - but it would be good to strobe it as the standard marks are not necessarily that accurate . A tuner mate found the 17 deg IT mark on a px was more like 20 deg on an engine he did recently.

Bearing in mind no autolube =at least a jet size up than with autolube, and that pipe i would start at about 128 main, you might be able to get it down to 125 ,mine wasn't happy below that with a mickeck but was ok with a sito with a 122.

I can't remember,but is that 50/100 pilot jet standard, and you should only really need the airscrew out max 2.5 turns (out richens)

Ported PX 150 engine running a standard Polini 177 kit
28mm PHBH with 42mm air ram
worb 5 flowed and balanced crank
22/64 gear box
Polini RH pipe

Note: SIP recommend 125 -132 main jets and i have got those on order any idea about the rest of the carb set up ??? (atomiser/pilot jets/ slide/nedle position etc)
