...is mostly on the left. Very noticeable.

The tire was on the front of the machine when I acquired it a few years ago. Don’t recall noticing abnormal wear on this tire then. I’ve since put 3500+/- miles on the Vespa with this tire on the front.

Is such uneven wear common?

Or is there some mechanical problem(s) I need to address?

The back tire that was on the Vespa when I bought it went bald last summer and was replaced with a newer one I had on hand. I don’t know whether it served as a front tire and was moved to the rear, or whether it spent its life on the rear wheel. The wear seemed pretty uniform across the entire tread.

Thanks!

Any way to determine axle diameter before disassembling? I note that some axles seem to be 16mm and the rest 20mm.

Looking at this picture and the tire wear pattern, is it possible the wheel is bent?

If the wheel is bent, is my assumption that the bearings still need replacing correct?

Thanks.
