T5 172 malossi carb issue

Got a T5 172 malossi engine with a 24 24g standard carb, main jet increased to suit. When engine is warm have tried adjust mixture screw but turning in and out has no effect. Idle jet is 50/100, don’t think I can get a bigger idle jet for this carb, any ideas why mixture screw has no effect.
