Anyone fitted a Polini original exhaust to a standard Vespa px200 ? As I would appreciate any advice on jetting the carb. Also any feedback on performance etc. Thanks

Ok I will try with a 125 main jet and work down, but when I spoke to someone from reedspeed albeit about a sip 2 exhaust they said you don’t have to change jets or timing as they are designed to be a straight swap!

I`ve been running one on mine for a while now. Changed from JL r/h and the difference was massive. The JL was dead down low but the Polini restored that and still had the same if better top end power. I`m on a P200e with BGM top end( which is just a standard 200 top end in all but name) I had a 124 main in with the JL and now run a 122. I ride basically flat out all the time and it`s perfect. Timing at 19 degrees and temp never over 340 degrees f. Planning to advance timing a bit.
I`ve seen 6500 rpm on the flat but normally it`ll rev to 6200 which equates to mid 60s mph in the real world.

I think from the factory the later electric start models had the ignition backed off a bit and set between the A and IT marks but only one way to be sure. Pop the flywheel.
My mates bog standard P200e still runs 23 degrees problem free and that`s with the crappest two stroke he can find :D

Iam surprised they said that Mr Dog, on my standard set up I had to go up four on the main to 122 to get the same plug colour as I had using the standard pipe with a 118 in. plug was white with 118 in using the SIP 2.
